　　1995年乐队成立于芬兰，他们的音乐类似于Sisters of Mercy和the Mission U.K，他们的音乐中充满了低沉的旋律和神秘的爱情故事。

　　乐队的灵魂人物是主唱Ville Hermani Vallo1996年底发表了首张EP《666 Ways to Love》在北欧激起了相当的涟漪后，隔年出版的专辑《Greatest Love Songs,Vol.666》首度将他们巧妙融合了metal、80年代rock sound和既苦又甜的pop旋律的音阅特质推向欧洲市场，也为他们99年充慢爱和死亡血腥色彩的重量级作品《Razorblade Romance》打下完美的前锋，在艺术性上猴得极高的评价，除可代表专辑概念的首支单曲〈When Love and Death Embrace〉外，重新诠释Chris Isaak的〈Wicked Game〉甚至有突破原唱的亮眼成绩，充沛的能量活力，层次分明的编曲，可视为H.I.M.的代表作品之一，立刻获得欧洲歌迷的狂热支持，更猴得各方邀约展开马不停蹄的欧洲巡回演出。

　　99年特邀来曾与White Zombie、Nine Inch Nails、Depeche Mode等知名团体合作的金牌制作人John Fryer跨刀制作的《Razorblade Romance》中，H.I.M.独特的哥德式love metal已然成形，〈Join Me〉、〈Right Here in My Arms〉都是其中表现非常可圈可点的畅销曲。果然更具有市场爆发力，他们独特风格的知名度和声望更加高升远播，H.I.M.风潮席卷全欧！更于04年登路US，猴Top Heatseekers榜#8！经历了团员替换阵痛期后的《Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights》于01年推出，请来Kevin Shirley(Aerosmith、Iron Maiden)但刚制作，迷样的诗人Valo直接描绘出人心黑暗神秘面，代表作品首推〈Pretending〉、〈In Joy And Sorrow〉，更加稳固了芬兰最具魔幻魅力的摇滚团体H.I.M.的独特辨认度。

　　2003年《Love Metal》专辑封面神秘的图腾似乎代表着H.I.M.在音阅市场上独特风格，充慢压迫感的〈Buried Alive by Love〉、纯真美感的〈The Funeral of Hearts〉，都显示H.I.M.浑然天成的创作能力和成长。
